Question Lilo Question

Ive got Windows ME and RH 7.1 running weel using Lilo.

I'd like to have ME as the default at boot.

I've tried to change the DEFAULT=dos paramter in lilo.conf but it didn't work. I've read the info pages but am not quite 'getting' it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here's my Lilo.conf:

boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
message=/boot/message
lba32
default=linux

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.2-2
label=linux
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.2-2.img
read-only
root=/dev/hda5
append="hdc=ide-scsi"

other=/dev/hda1
optional
label=dos

Changing the "default" line to:

default=dos

and re-running lilo should do the trick.

If for some reason it does not, just list the dos entry in the lilo.conf file first:

other=/dev/hda1
label=dos

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.2-2
label=linux initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.2-2.img
read-only
root=/dev/hda5
append="hdc=ide-scsi"

...then re-run lilo to make your changes.

'and re-run Lilo' is the operative phrase.
That's waht I didn't do the first time. :-)

Thank You for your help....until next time.
