Yeah, on my old Slackware install I had compiled a 2.6.6 kernel... But as you know I was not able to use it b/c my boot loader didn't work, so I look forward to recompiling a newer kernel. Also, I think it will enable my DVD burner as well as help with the scsi problems I have w/ both my CD-RW and DVD+RW drive. Looking forward to it.
