lilo broken / debian unstable / using knoppix / help!

Hi

I`m running debian unstable. with kernel 2.14.18 i guess
My Lilo is broken. when booting, it only says LI and then stops.
Before the last reboot, I tried apt-get upgrade, but after working a while it reported errors with package glibc-doc. Don`t know wether this is related.
I`m now running knoppix 3.2 now, but don`t know how to fix it now.
Didn`t find appropriate thread, although sure, there are many.
so, please help, link to some threads would be ok.

Im not going to pretend that I know the immediate answer, but did you make a boot disk? Have you tried using that? I would recommend trying to rerun /sbin/lilo -v

Thats all the help I can give.
