I get that error once too (i don't know how or why), but after i reinstall it worked fine.
Post here your lilo.conf file, maybe we can help you One other thing... have you tried grub? |
No havent tried grub i would but i cant get net either lol here is the config
# LILO configuration file # generated by 'liloconfig' # # Start LILO global section boot = /dev/hda #compact # faster, but won't work on all systems. prompt timeout = 50 # VESA framebuffer console @ 1024x768x256 vga=772 # ramdisk = 0 # paranoia setting image = /boot/vmlinuz root = /dev/hda1 label = Linux read-only # Non-UMSDOS filesystems should be mounted read-only for checking |
try take a look at this.
|
That just confuses me LOL
|
ok, let's start from the begining then.
Give me the configuration of your machine... for ex.: WindowsXP on the 1st partition of primary master (hda1) Fedora Core 3 on the 3th partition of primary master (hda3) Give me also the name of the files there are on the /boot/ dir We'll try to make you a lilo.conf were. |
LOL ok
/dev/hda1 - linux....... thats it LMFAO |
heh iuf we can get this working i goit the net fixed so ima find what you were talking about
|
Actually their is some problem with your lilo.conf file. When you run lilo it look for the files, whose entries are been made in your lilo.conf file and if it can't locate them, it throws an error. There must be some .bmp entries in the lilo.conf file. Try commenting those lines in the lilo.conf file. Start lilo and later reboot.
