I have a 10 year old HP Compaq Presario V6000 that is currently barely running windows XP. It has never had any modifications. I am looking for a lightweight distro that is reminiscent of windows. The graphics card in it is lower end, so no fancy visual effects.
What are your goals with this computer? What are you hoping to use it for? I googled the hardware specs, and this computer is marginal at best for 2016 purposes. Here are some project suggestions for very old computers:
