Can you please list *all* the distros you have already tried, and the reasons you rejected them?

Crux is very lightweight. Just wondering why you rejected lubuntu?

128MB is not much RAM for any contemporary Linux distro.

If Puppy did run satisfactorily, you will have trouble making this machine work unless you can find a way to increase the available RAMs.

I think the 128MB is the Ati video card memory. But the way the post is formulated. I can be wrong.

Looking at it again, I could well have read it wrong. Thanks.

I did a web search for that machine's specs and could not find clear information about the RAM. I just redid the search and found one link indicating that it might have been a 512MB machine out of the box, which is still awfully light on RAM for a contemporary Linux desktop distro.

OP, please clarify how much RAM that thing has.
