I can not run Libre Office 5 writer. I installed Debian Stretch 9 on my laptop. I tried libreoffice or lowrite in the command line they did not work. When I click Libreoffice 5 write icon on my destop, it dos not work either. I can not open odt, doc, docx files. What can I do? Did I do anything wrong when I installed libreoffice?

You can try starting LO from the command line and look for any error messages that appear in the terminal. You can then post the error messages here, being sure to surround them with "code" tags which become avaialable when you click the "Go Advanced" button beneath the compose post window.
