hi, i recently downloaded the unlimited trial version of libranet 2.8.1 cds. I burned them on to CD-R's and when I tried to install from CD1, the system froze up at the WELCOME screen. I waited for a while but nothing happened so I restarted the system and tried to do it again but the same problem was encountered. I was not sure if the CD I burned was bad ( I doubted it because when the installation starts everything goes smoothly until the welcome screen appears). Anyways, I did burn a new cd, this time, at the lowest write speed but all the work...in vain. Sam problem. I had encountered the same type of problem 2 months ago when I was trying to install Debian from debian cd 5 (bf2.4). but then, everything was fine when I installed with debian cd 1. So, I was just wondering if anyone could point out what the problem is, I would really be grateful. Also, is it possible to install libranet with cd 2?

Have you checked that your download isn't corrupt? There ought to be an md5sum you can check.

If your download is ok and your cd is ok, then it gets hard as such lockups are hard to diagnose.
