libnullplugin.so

Dear all,

There is this plugin on my browser "libnullplugin.so", I am not sure if it came by default. Its enabled on my browser and I think its related to MIME type thingi.

I wish to know how can I disable it because I am having trying to build my filtering software and I am not sure if its because of this plugin that has affected my configuration. Because my filtering software has to deal with MIME type too.

The libnullplugin.so is the thing that goes looking for plugins you haven't got. Like if you have't got flash installed and you click on a page that uses flash, the libnullplugin pops up asking if you want to go download it. If you don't want to be bothered by the popups and don't want the plugins, just delete the libnullplugin.so
