libdb2.so.2 and libdb2.so.3 rpms
 

does anyone know where i could get these rpm's from red hat 9 ? iv tried apt-get and no luck, also tried a google search but i didnt get any joy

Try www.rpmfind.net - it's likely that the files will come as part of another program rather than on their own.

right i have downloaded this package compat-db-3.3.11-2.i386.rpm wich requires tcl-8.3.3-74.i386.rpm but when i try and install tcl-8.3.3-74.i386.rpm i get this error

It looks as though you already have Tcl installed (and it's a newer version than the one you are trying to install).

thought so, im trying to install compat-db-3.3.11-2.i386.rpm and im getting this error [root@dhcp-194-1986063 j]# rpm -i compat-db-3.3.11-2.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libtcl.so.0 is needed by compat-db-3.3.11-2

its for a mixing program mixmagic multitrack system similar to sonic foundrys acid pro

Back to RPMFind, I'm afraid - they should have the required file.

tried rpmfind for libdb2.so.2 and nothing ....

yea but no luck as of yet :(

It may take a lot of searching - it's probably part of another program or library.

yea ill keep ploding on :) its just for that mixmagic program cause then i can totaly get rid of windows :D

Can you d/l mixmagic through apt4rpm? If so it will resolve dependencies for you.

tried apt-get install mixmagic but it doesnt find the program

Why not create a new, temporary repository in your sources.list which points to the install location of mixmagic (the url that is). That way, you can apt-get it and it will resolve the dependencies itself.
