can i do linux from scratch in user mode linux,actually i had a only one partition for linux fedora 5,is that possible,can any one help me

Just make your root file system in file http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.n...x-HOWTO-8.html
Then build LFS on this mounted filesystem.
