when helping my friend with this, i ran into the same problem--if you already have tcl installed, go into /usr/lib and create symlinks to whatever version you have. i did the following, and then i was able to extract it:
The driver for RedHat 9 is available on the lexmark download page, it seems like it can only be installed if the printer is connected directly to the machine. It works.
If anyone knows how to make this driver available in the list so I can set it up as an SMB queue so that I can share it from a windows box, I would appreciate it.
Just now.... I grabbed the Lexmark Z605 driver for RedHat 9 from the www.lexmark.com site. I ran the sh script, everything installed fine. Test page worked, lpr command worked, etc.
I have SAMBA running on my linux server. I'd like for my WinXP, and Mac OS X to be able to see and print from this Linux printer. Any advice on how to proceed from here? My linux book only gives advice on how to get another linux machine to see the network printer.
