I use Debian. I chose it because there are a lot of programs for it and because it seemed nice to me and because it was easier to switch from Ubuntu.
I started my acquaintance with Linux with Ubuntu. I don't think I know much about Linux. I often have problems setting up my system. I like the graphical environment of Ubuntu. I tried installing on my Debian KDE, but it works hard on my computer, so I have XFCE installed now.

I know a fair amount. I think others would be better suited to give you career advice though.

How did you study the operating system? With official documentation?

Through trial and error, online forums, documentation, videos, etc.
