Cool Lenovo Yoga 720 131KB

#1 Best Distro for this laptop to have use of touchpad and touch screen. I will consider dual boot of Win10, if no solution is available.

#2 Installing network driver drivers for Canon ImageClass printer MF8280 CW

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.org!

This Ubuntu bug report may be relevant to your touchpad situation. In particular, comment #18

Quote:

I have managed to get my Yoga 720 15"'s touchpad working in Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu)

It's a fairly straightforward issue + patch (missing PCI ID)

Need to re-compile intel-lpss-pci module

On this line: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/bl...pss-pci.c#L224

Add "{ PCI_VDEVICE(INTEL, 0xa162), (kernel_ulong_t)&spt_uart_info },"

Recompile and install the new intel-lpss-pci module and touchpad will work.
For the Canon printer, there are many threads and blogs on the subject if you care to search...

Sometimes, a bit of trial and error is involved.
