There are many, MANY thousands you can find...Google can point you to them. Please read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature.

to learn "linux from scratch"
normally i DO NOT recommend a real physical book for linux
BUT LFS IS DIFFERENT

BUY $$$ the current book!!!
LFS 7.6
or
grab the current e-book and put it on a handheld tablet or e-book reader
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/download.html

then treat LFS manual as a textbook for a self taught class

and i do mean
use a pad of paper and a #2 pencil to wright a install outline

in reality you ARE writing a masters/php theses outline

this WILL be your guide ( your BIBLE -- if you will )

but keep in mind
LFS is not a "new to linux Operating system"
if you are new
then think of it as a PHD Doctorate level collage course of study

and you do not yet have even a 2 year associates

I almost took the OP's question as a LFS question but I think OP means that they are new, if I'm wrong hopefully OP will confirm.

I took it the same way EDDY1 did, that OP is starting from scratch, not that he wants to learn the Linux from Scratch distro.

About dot com has a good section about Linux.

With a little searching, you can find lots of video tutorials on YouTube. Many of them can be quite helpful. Some not so much.

There's a wealth of documentation at The Linux Documentation Project; most of it is command-line oriented.

The Arch Wiki can be a wonderful all-purpose resource, even if you aren't running Arch.

Going Linux has lots of useful information.

There is a completely free course you can do that is aimed at beginners such as yourself. You can find it here > https://www.edx.org/course/introduct...ionx-lfs101x-2
