LDAP Installation in RHEL05

Hi Everybody,

I am using Red Hat Linux 2.6.18-8.el5.
How can I configure LDAP to sync Microsoft AD. Please tell me step by step. Is that possible to sync AD with Linux without LDAP or help with any third party software ???
Thanks in advance ...

please define what you want more specifically. LDAP is a protocol, not a specific bit of software. What do you want to sync? Do you mean sync? Do you want an LDAP server or just client connectivity? If you search around here, you'll find me advocating just directly using AD as your LDAP server, with nothing in between.
