Question Launching an app in a specified workspace in GNOME on FC6

How do you launch an application in a specific workspace? I am using GNOME on an FC6 box.

PS: I've searched (using Google) many posts for the solution to my question, but havent found any direct/complete answers -- just people asking the same question. It's been amazingly frustrating as I know this must be a common question. I'd be curious to know, for those who have the answer, where they got that answer from!

I don't think GNOME has the capability to do that

From my limited experience w/ the 2 of them (today ), I think that wmctrl might be a better solution -- for one thing, it actually has usable documentation.

A good beginning:

Also do an LQ search on "wmctrl", I think there were only 25 threads listed a few minutes ago & some of them had solutions to your problem.
