launcher containing dash home on new 12.10 upgrade doesnt show up,
 

Upgraded to ubuntu 12.10 and launcher that used to be on left of screen, or anything else except the background doesn't show up. I have to reboot, and go to gnome desktop to do anything. I tried to install unity with terminal, and it said I had it already. How to fix it? I really liked the enviroment i had on 12.04. Do I have to go back to precise to get it?

Just reset Unity....
Do not use sudo....

Tried that, but it said comand was depreciated. The unity reset comand, that is. Thanks anyway.
