Latest version of Bios for Acer Aspire One AOA110 with Linux not Windows

Hi,

I am looking for the latest or older) version of the Bios for an Acer Aspire One AOA110 that runs Linux not Windows.

I have noticed that the Acer website appears to only support Windows XP now and that the maccles blogspot seems to have disappeared.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the bios so I can bring my netbook back to life from the 'black screen of death'.

Before I flash the bios is it recommended to check the cmos battery out. If so, how do I get to it, as the base of the laptop does not appear to just unscrew!

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Here is the download link for the BIOS for that model.

BIOS is not operating system specific. There is no specific BIOS file for linux, or XP for that matter. It is purely hardware.

As for the location of the battery, have a look at the service manual. See this link.
