Laptop only showing 16-bit color

On my Toshiba Satellite I recently installed Fedora core 2. It appears to be using the same graphics driver that XP uses (NVIDIA GeForce2 Go) but I cannot see color in 24 bits like I can in XP. The option for "millions of colors" seems to be there in the KDE config utility but I am only seeing 16 bits of color.

Before when I had SUSE 9.1 and installed it came up in 24-bit color, so I know this is possible!

Thanks for your help!

What driver is actually being pulled?

Have a good look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(or XFree86.0.log if that's what FC uses)

The place to change it would be in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf (XF86Config alternatively).
