Laptop Driver Problems with Debian + Elementary OS, work fine with Fedora LiveUSB

I have installed Elementary OS on my laptop and have run into a few problems with drivers. I haven't been able to find any useful info online about running Linux on this laptop. My wireless does not work and the wireless adapter itself seems to not even be seen in my network settings. My touch screen does not work (not too big a deal, but it would be nice if I got it to work). Also, right-clicking does not do anything.

What I find strange is that these problems occur in both Elementary OS and Debian, but none of them occur while running a Fedora LiveUSB. I originally tried installing Fedora, but ran into problems getting it to work with UEFI, and eventually gave up. I do have an Ethernet connection and ran apt-get update && apt-get upgrade after installing elementary OS.

Any ideas why I am running into these issues and how I can fix them? Also, if anyone has had luck getting Fedora to work with this laptop, please let me know.

Laptop: Asus Q501
OS Versions:
Fedora 20
CentOS 6.5
Debian 7.5
Latest Elementary OS

It would help if you told us what your laptop model and which version of each OS you've tried.

Sorry about that. I posted it in another thread and forgot to post it here.

The laptop is an Asus Q501.

I have tried Fedora 20, CentOS 6.5, Debian 7.5, and the latest version of Elementary OS (which is working now except for the driver problems). I have used the amd64 versions of each of these OSs.

Also, I was able to get WiFi working by using a USB wireless adapter. Not the perfect solution, but probably good enough as I rarely use more than one USB port and the laptop has three.
