languages supported by linux?
 

what languages will linux support without adding in any specific features? i use fedora core 1 if it matters.

i noticed in another thread that perl is supported, wish windows supported that without adding extra software..

Just look up the programming language that your interested in. Google really works well for this.
As for supporting it out of the box so to say. None do. All of that is easilly added on from free repositories.

awesome, thanks.. maybe i can try out asp.net that im trying to learn for free now, instead of having to buy winxp pro since microsoft cant incorperate IIS into home edition for some stupid reason

Sorry i thought you meant a programing language.

Almost all languages get installed with default installations of linux, if you select them. For example, C/C++, perl, python, Tcl/tk, java etc.,. will all work. But it is difficult to work in languages that belong to the .net platform. SO, you can't work on ASP.net, Vb.net etc..
