lan internet not working

Greetings

for some reason my Internet is not working I am not connecting to internet

I know I have Internet connection because the other computers can connect and also windows on this pc connects with no problem

I have Debain sarge

Here is the last thing I did before restarting the pc and logging on to windows to play a game.

I installed a theme (I realy am begining to think that themes are very bad idea).

Borealis superkaramba http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=13876 ok here is what this theme has.

1) System tray
2) Virtual desktops (uses either 3ddesktop or built-in KDE desktop switching)
3) Cpu monitoring
4) Memory monitoring
5) HD space monitoring (user-configurable, uses "/" and "/home" by default)
6) Network monitoring (user-configurable, uses "eth0" by default)
7) Wireless monitoring (user-configurable, uses "wlan0" by default)
8) Media bar (Xmms, Amarok, Juk, Noatun)

ok as you can see the 2 in red I think no one would have borht of theme so there should be a way to chose which one you want but there was not, I use a Network card eth0.

Now I have tried to install this theme servile times always not getting it to work very well. Alright alright I am a slow learner ok so its a bad program now I know. But I thought it would be nice to have so I tryed to install it this time I got further (after figuring out that I should install it in user mode not super user mode (go figure) any way I tried to edit the install.sh file and take out the wireless network card but well no luck NEED to know a bit more programing to do that i guess

ok so you know the problem I can't get on Internet or use the network (I use t1 connection with a LAN line going to a router Linksys that is)

here is the things I have seen that seem to be different then I remember

In the configure panel I under Internet/network I see a Wireless portions which I do not remember seeing before, also when I look at the network where my eth0 is it the check box is not checked and when I (activate) it goes off right away..

how do I fix this

Thank you for your time.

ok the only thing I could in a text editor was
resolv.conf

now ifconfig I could see some but it was large and a lot of @ marks on it

the others I could not find

I also checked my local network and it said that lisa was not running or set right

now here is the contents of resolv.conf

search elp.rr.com
nameserver 204.252.14.1

lisa has nothing to do with ur internet

and what about ur router settings
and what about the O/P of

route -n
is that not installed???
i think u need to install the "route"
packages

and post the O/P of ifconfig no matter what u get

regards
