Exclamation LAN


if i am behind a LAN connection, isnt there a method .......... to..break the system..i mean...i want an IRC chat..but it cant be joined..only by those from my LAN ... i want it to be joined by everyone.. the only method would be a router? or is there another option?

A irc chat should be available to anyone that has a 'net connection from your router.
The irc is a software connection that any PC could use, whilst on the 'net.

I don't understand the question. You have an irc server that can only be accessed fro your LAN but you want it to be accessed from the internet?

you would have to forward the irc ports from your router to the irc server
