Kworld Ub499 2T DVB

I've spent the last 6 hours trying to get this USB TV reciever working.

I've tried this guide:

I've tried following this guide here:

But I don't have /usr/share/doc/linux-doc/dvb/get_dvb_firmware.gz

I can't find the module or whatever it is to get it either. I've found and put the firmware for the USB stick into /lib/firmware/ except when I try to get it working Terminal said that the module wasn't running.

This has been the worst headache ever, I'm just trying to make a XBMC media box that has live TV.

I'm fairly new to Linux/Ubuntu so try not to get too technical.
