KWord document compatibility
 
I have opened a few Microsoft Word documents and Rich Text Format documents in KWord and lots of text is missing. Why is this? Would it be better for me to download more fonts or try OpenOffice.org?

Use OpenOffice.org It will read and write the MSWord .doc format

Compatibility with MSOffice is maybe 90-95%

I have never used KOffice, but it has not gotten very good reviews.

I might try Abiword too.
