Unhappy Kvim Right window's edge resizing itself in KDE

Hi,
Is there a solution for the following weird problem;

On Debian Testing using KDE3.2 when some application starts namely KVim, the Kvim window is opened to its regular width but as soon as the window is opened, the right edge of the window start to move right up to the minimal kvim window width. The mouse pointer isn't moving on the screen during this time but the kvim window is getting resize! There is no apparent problem with the mouse pointer.

While the edge is moving toward right and after the right edge reaches the left side of the window, some icons in the kvim window title bar are getting redraw quickly, it's like the kvim window is receiving events.

While the kvim window is in this state, using the mouse, clicking on right edge and enlarging the window seems to make the problem go away until the next time kvim is started.

thanks

Hi,
This might be a problem with KDE sub-component(s) (e.g. library). The problem has been seen on one KDE 3.2 installation took from the net bot not on another fresh install KDE 3.2 from the net. Both KDE 3.2 install were coming from Debian Testing which is regularly updated with improvement/fixes, so it might be possible that the bug was found and corrected at least on Debian Testing distribution.

regards

Problem solved

In KDE control center, under "KDE component" there are configuration information for VIM. It seems that this needs to be configured so that VIM work. The problem was experience when these fields weren't configured at all.

regards
