kubuntu 8.04 login loop
 

haven't logged into my kubuntu OS in a while

when I log into my kubuntu now, after supplying password and username,
i'm redirected back to the login page

???


i'm cluesless, help, please


(note: i did try supplying false password, and on such occassion did receive login failed notice. )

what happens when you try and login as root?

can't login as root in ubuntu/kubuntu, it is possible however possible to login on the terminal either as root or as any user account
