again, what appears to be a common complaint, i have read the threads.

i get sound from my speakers when i speak into the mic (including feedback), but meter indicates no sound, and i get a file with no sound.

i have tweaked all my settings in aumix and kmix and etc., my soundcard seems to work fine.

any ideas?

any suggestions about a simple alternative to krec? i can't find anything out there, really, besides full studio stuff.

all i want is simple wav files. (yes, i know krec only create raw files).

any help is greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem. I solved it by opening art control tool and then choose View Audio Manager. The trouble turned out to be that the input and output had to be switched around because they were mislabeled. Maybe the same for you?

I can hear my voice from speaker but I can't record anything
