Hi friend,
I just started learning linux
i was trying to dial to my isp using kppp but got the following error

Dec 24 14:55:19 localhost pppd[3113]: Terminating on signal 15.
Dec 24 14:55:19 localhost pppd[3113]: ioctl(TIOCSETD, N_TTY): Interrupted system call
Dec 24 14:55:20 localhost pppd[3113]: tcsetattr: Invalid argument
Dec 24 14:55:20 localhost pppd[3113]: Exit.

the modem dials,, i get the login screen, i type my id, pass,
then while trying to start pppd it just hangs there for some time and then gives thing error

please help

hmmm, /dev/rmodem? are you sure thats correct? Its not /dev/modem, or
/dev/ttys0 ? What comm port is your modem on? ttys0= comm1, ttys1=com2,
ect.. Are you sure you have to do a terminal or script based logon, and not a
pap/chap? I'm only guessing here but its a place to start.

this was the message generated and stored in the log file that i have copied.
my modem is on /dev/ttys0--comm1
my login is terminal based

in kppp options, check for modem working ( QUERY MODEM) and the correct port.
