Exclamation KPowerSave help. Need help today!!!

I am not a newbie to linux, but somehow, I can't figure this out.

I am in the process of converting a Windows user to Mandravia, but I can't figure out how to get KPowerSave working right as I don't ever use it. If I don't get this fixed today, then the user is going to restore the entire computer to windows. (Did I mention that I managed to break Windows while installing Mandravia ?)

The problem is that I can't get it to lock the screen and suspend when it is closed.

Note: I am using KDE 3.5, and, a version of Mandravia from the first half of 2008 (don't know which).

Please help me. Soon.

It sounds like you are on a laptop?

Can't help you if you are... but if you are on a desktop, and looking for some kind of auto-suspend or screensaver solution, have you taken a look at xscreensaver??
