i have to Develop a generic messenger through which any user can setup their yahoo, hotmail, gmail messenger Id in the system initially. When user login in this messenger application, he can get all information about their friend currently online on different messengers. User can chat with all online friends using this messenger. i use my own message sending and receiving mechanism to chat with other user’s.
now i want to know how i access yahoo
api for instant messaging As kopete does.
and what kind of server are required for complete messanger & i have to make it or configuration of server will do my job as i am using debian based knoppix.
