Konqueror / Flash
How come I can't figure out the proper plugin / installation directory for Konqueror? I managed to get flash working with mozilla, but anything I try for Konqueror causes an error. Shouldn't it be the same plug in for both? I mean the macromedia site takes me to the same download that I used for mozilla.

The best thing to do, is to configure Konqueror to use the plugins in you mozilla directory and make sure that the option to check for new plugin everytime konqueror starts is selected.

Well, I just don't get this. Under Konqueror I have it set to scan for plugins in my mozilla plugins directory. And the plug in should be there -flash is working under mozilla- but still when i load a page in Konqueror with flash it acts up (says the flash plug in is not installed).
So - uh what else can I do? Do I have to re-start the machine to get this to work?

You do not have to restart KDE.
Configure Konqueror - Plugins:
Scan Tab:
List all location of Mozilla and Netscape plugins, mine are /usr/lib/<browser>/plugins
Click the button "scan for plugins"
It will tell you need to save changes first (if you didn't already)
Now go to the Plugins tab:
Check that the flashplayer plugin is listed - it may be listed for each location it was retrieved from.
If all is OK, flash should work in konqueror.
That being said, Flash does not work perfectly in Konqueror. There are websites where it does not work correctly.
I usually test my flash installs at miniclip.com. There are some flash based games there. Moz works well. Kong displays fine, but the keyboard control do not work. Right click on any flash display and you will see "About Macromedia Flashplayer 7..." in the menu if flash is installed correctly - even if it does not work right.
