Konqueror Error
 

I recently installed the flash plugin for linux using macro's rpm. When i went to konqueror's settings -> configure conqueror... and selected the the netscape plugin viewer, I received the following error:

"There was an error loading module nsplugin.desktop The Diagnostic Is:"

Can anybody help? Thanks.

I used the "Generic .tar.gz" from http://macromedia.mplug.org and put the files in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins. That way works fine with Konqueror on my system. What do you get from "rpm -ql flash-plugin"

I don't know how the rpm works because I can't enable plugins through the netscape plugins viewer. Although, flash still wouldn't work. I hoping I can get it to work because konqueror has grown to be my favorite browser. I'm wondering if I should uninstall flash and use your tar files. I don't know if flash actualy caused the error when using "configure konqueror..." dialog box.

Try removing the package with "rpm -e flash-plugin" and see if konqueror works then. If so, try the "Generic .tar.gz"

I uninstalled, but it didn't work. I think the konqueror is due kde rpm I updated using red hat's update agent.

konqueror is part of the kdebase package. Did you update that, and does it work now? You can see if your installation is corrupted with "rpm --verify kdebase"
