Konqueror browser won't play win32 codecs

My win32 codecs are installed in /usr/lib/win32. I can play win/real/qt files from my home directory with konqueror file manager using mplayer. However, from any web site, konqueror browser launches an mplayer window that refuses to play anything at all. The message in the mplayer window is "Player mplayer Not Running". Any suggestions? My distro is kubuntu 6.06.1.

I can't recall how I sorted this when I was running kubuntu, but I seem to remember that there are a couple of suggestions somewhere in the kubuntu/Ubuntu documentation at their site.

Always worth a look/read.

Sorry I can't actually give you an answer my friend. Good luck.

regards

John
