KOffice gone from KDE menu.

hey

i feel embarrassed, i'm not at all new to linux but this one just got me lost

i just installed OOo, all the apps showed up in the 'office' category but since there were a lot of KOffice apps in there it got kinda messy. i fired up that nifty menu editor and created to subdirs in 'office': "KOffice" and
"OpenOffice.org". i moved all the KOffice & OOo apps/icons to the right subdir, hit 'apply' and .. the whole "KOffice" dir was gone, along with all the apps. the dir itself appears in the menu editor but it's empty

now should i manually add all of those apps again to my menu (boring) or is there any other way to get them back in there? i tried reinstalling koffice, nothing

im a perfectionist, the only KOffice app i use is Kivio (for flowcharting) but i just find it annoying that theyre gone

thanks,
wet

You can delete ~/.local/share/applications and your menu will be reset to the original.

thanks

i found a different way, i deleted ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu

looks like there are many ways to do this (as always in linux)

thanks again
