Knoppix V3.8.1 Keyboard Detection Problem

I mess with Linux on and Off, and am currently on a Live CD kick.

Here is the problem. When booting Knoppix 3.8.1, I can type at the very beginning before it starts all the detection processes.

Once it boots up completly I loose all keyboard (Micro$oft internet keyboard) functionality. The mouse still works though.

I have tried booting with the following commands

knoppix lang=en
knoppix acpi=off
knoppix lang=en acpi=off

I would like to eventually install 3.8.1 to one of my drives, but not without a keyboard.

Thanx in advance.

Is it a USB keyboard? Simple solution: buy a PS2/USB adaptor. Long solution: google!
