Knoppix Mounting

Right now I have no OS. I'm using Knoppix to try and mount a throw-away partition I just created so I can download the Slack ISOs, however Knoppix isn't working with me and keeps making the partition read-only. Is there any way I can mount this partition so I can write the ISO to it and then burn from it or is there another way I can get the Slack ISO (downloaded and burnt directly in Knoppix). Thanks all.

Sorry to bother everyone. A simple su to root and chmod 777 /dev/hda1 did the trick. Disregard this thread
