knoppix live CD issue
Hello All,

I got a copy of the knoppix live cd so i can learn the Linux commands and learn how to write shell scripts. But when i use the CD and try to get on the internet i can't. I checked the configuration but it still won't go to the web when i bring up the browser. I'm using a USB wireless card to access the web from my laptop. Please help!!! if you guys know of a fix to this issue it would be a big help to me.

Oh that's sort of a double whammy for the wireless.

Wireless isn't the easiest thing to get working automatically on Linux to begin with, but then you went and use a USB wireless card, which makes it even more difficult.

There's nowhere you can simply plug in a cable to get online ?

The other option would be to check a hardware compatibility list, find a known working wireless PCMCIA card and buy it for your machine.

I'm not saying you can't get the usb wireless to work,. I just don't think it will be that simple with a live CD
