Knoppix freezes

I'm trying to run Knoppix 5.1.1 on a really good computer, yet it doesn't seem to load. After I boot the DVD and choose to start Knoppix, there was some text and a loading bar, then the screen goes black. What am I doing wrong?
Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2Ghz
2 Gigs RAM
nVidia GeForce 7600GT

You might try the AMD 64 bit version of knoppix.

Forgot to mention, somewhy it says that it's 64-bit, but I can run a 32-bit Vista on it.
