Question knoppix (Debain) Installing SUN Jdk 1.4.0_01

Hi,

I am quite new to Linux and I faced the following problem when I installed the SUN jdk 1.4.0_01 on
my knoppix hard disk version.

everytime I want to run either java or javac I get the following message :

Error: failed /j2sdk/jre/lib/i386/client/libjvm.so, because libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

Thank you very much for your help!!!!!

I had to use it, because I am working with xith library and it does not work with the standard.
Anyway, I found a solution, I am using Eclipse and it works pretty well.

Thanks anyway !
