KNOPPIX 4.02 Input/Output Errors

Hiya folks,

I just got myself the KNOPPIX 4.02 iso yesterday, and burnt it to a CD. However, upon boot, I get a metric assload of "can't read <file>: input/output error" messages (<file> being various files, some essential, others not so much). It's pretty easy to crapflood half the screen with these messages. What I'm wondering is why is this the case. Could it be craptacular CD quality? Or is there some knoppix 'cheat code' that would help me? I've googled this problem quite a bit, and I haven't seen a solution.

Thanks a lot.

Your language is, uh, difficult to understand.

Did you check the md5sum of your iso before burning the CD?

Thanks for the reply!

I just checked the md5 sum after you mentioned it, and sure enough, they didn't match. Silly me!

P.S: May I recommend UrbanDictionary for better understanding idiots like me!
