KNOPPIX 3.2.8 Live problem - screen messed up

When I insert my KNOPPIX Live CD in, it asks me to press enter, then begins to load. All the things load, then it goes into the GUI.

I'm presented with a screen, but all the lines are blurred and scrolling side to side so I cannot make anything/much out.

Any idea why this happens, or how to fix it? Thank you.

Is it a newer machine? If so try downloading the latest version of Knoppix (4.0.2, I think).

Otherwise, there should be a key (F2?) that shows you a list of cheat codes (or google for knoppix cheat codes). Try disabling framebuffer or selecting a different default drive at boot time.

Thanks. When the screen came up, I pressed F2, then F3 for more options. Reading something about the framebuffer, I changed that with the boot thing by typing fb1024x768 or whatever, and it works now.

Thank you so much.
