Does anyone know if KMail supports or has a command line method for saving your mailbox? I need to take the machine down, try to repartition and reinstall everything and then see where I stand, *sigh*. And I don't want to lose my address book and configuration now that I got most of it into Linux.. grr..

I think you just need to backup your "~/Mail" dir to keep messages and "~/.kde/share/apps/kabc" directory to keep address book info.

By hte sounds of it you are planning to mkfs and reinstall - Why not just keep the /home partition and then most of your user settings will be saved.
