"KLauncher could not be reached via DCOP" - Error in KDE
 
Hello,
(*GOOGLED IT UP AND FOUND NO SOLUTION*) : I'm having this error message now, and I can fix it by rebooting but :

This is the second time it happens, so I should find a fix!
I cannot give up on errors fixes ;-)


I cannot open any stuff that requires Klauncher (kiker/whatever) including Konquoror, KMAIL, ... etc.

Code:
[zuki@localhost Desktop]$ whereis klauncher
klauncher: /usr/bin/klauncher
[zuki@localhost Desktop]$ whereis dcop
dcop: /usr/bin/dcop
So is there a fix without rebooting the computer?

I want to be able to reboot my comp, but before I do that I want to resolv this problem!

I'd try going in and reinstalling klauncher, I have never seen this problem before, but do you remember any changes you made before the problem started?

nothing!
It started happening during an error in starting KMAIL, it did succeded but afterwards it didn't succed with anything.

I can play stuff from terminal though (like "mozilla-firefox")

I too have this problem and it seems only to happen if I leave my system on for a somewhat long period of time. I have not been able to find a solution, have you resolved it on your end?

I did succeded once to make this work... but I'm not sure what I've done good that it didn't fit in the other times it happened...


I've clicked ALT + CTRL + ESC and clicked with the mouse on the ERROR message that u get when KLauncher couldn't reach DCOP or something


it worked once.
