Ok, I am running Mandrake 10.1. I have got a job sitting on my print queue and I cannot delete it.
From KjobViewer I can see that the name file is testprint.ps (I think that I may have sent it when I was setting up the printer). The owner says "root", if I try to delete it it comes with the following message:

If you started the job as root, you need to be root to kill it.

Open a root console (ALT + F2, type `konsole -type su` without the quotes), enter the root password, type `kjobviewer &`, kill the job.

Then close the root console (CTRL + D) - you don't want any accidents!

You are the man! Geez it is going to take me a while to get use to Linux after 13 years of using Windows.
