Kill aplication after startx in slackware

Hi all

sorry for dumb question but I stoped my session in KDE without closing firefox and thunderbird and now I have problem, because they start automaticaly right after login to XWindow. where I found and how to kill them forever

Go to the KDE Control Centre and select KDE Components and then Session Manager. There you can chose whether KDE attempts to start up your previous session or start with an "empty" session. Going for empty should get you a session with no unwanted applications.

also if that does not work, which it should try running top on the c.l. Then look for the applications in that list. The first column should be the pid number once you have that just go to the command prompt and type in

kill (pid number)

omit the () part and type in the number that relates back to the app you want to kill.
