I am facing the issue while automating the installation process using the kickstart method. I kindly request you to help / guide me in resolving the below issue.
I can see the below partitions in the testing server when I issue the fdisk –l command on 10.14.236.249 (Testing server).
/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 256666 24403 219011 11% /boot (the kickstart file is placed in this partation)
/dev/sda1 254458 90506 163952 36% /media/disk (when USB mounted)
I have copied the initrd.img and vmlinuz file from the repo server to the testing server 10.14.236.249 at /boot by issuing the below commands.
wget
http://10.14.134.183/RHEL/RHEL5.264B...nux/initrd.img
wget
http://10.14.134.183/RHEL/RHEL5.264BIT/isolinux/vmlinuz
Modified the grub.conf file to pick up the new initrd.img and vmlinuz file (attached the grub.conf file for reference) in the testing server
Step 1 :- The kickstart file is placed in the usb
grub.conf is added with the below entry
ks=hd:sda1:/ks.cfg
when restart –f is issued it pickups the kickstart file and installs the redhat.
Step 2 :- The kickstart file is placed in the /boot of the hard disk.
ks.cfg (kickstart file ) is placed in /boot
grub.conf is added with the below entry
ks=hd:cciss/c0d0p1:/ks.cfg
Following is the error message :-
