KickStart Centos 6 - kernel Panic No or empty root = argument

I am trying to build an custom kickstart in centos 6.4.

Here is what I did so far ,

1> Mounted the DVD
2> Copied it to a dir
3> Made a custom ks.cfg using system-config-kickstart
4> Copied the ks.cfg both the directory root and inside isolinux folder
5> Edited the isolinux.cfg and add an entry as follows

A> Attempt 1

label kickstart install
menu label ^kickstart install
menu default
kernel vmlinuz
append initrd=initrd.img ks=cdrom:/ks.cfg

B> Attempt 2

label kickstart install
menu label ^kickstart install
menu default
kernel vmlinuz0
append initrd=initrd0.img ks=cdrom:/ks.cfg
Results

A> Attempt 1 - The kickstart start installation didn't start at all , No errors displayed.

B> Attempt 2 - I renamed the initrd.img and vmlinuz to initrd0.img and vmlinuz0 as those there the files found in the directory. Well This time it did start to boot but I recieved a kernel panic saying No root or empty root = argument.

Please help me figure this out.

I am using centos 6.4 LIVE DVD

in the append= line you need a root=<somewhere> argument. As it's a live DVD, try

root=/dev/sr0
