KGet and Mozilla Firefox Integration

Is it possible to integrate KGet into Mozilla Firefox? I like Firefox very much but i don't like it's download manager; it simply sucks. Also the only decent download manager i'd found on linux (for x of course) is KGet. So what i'm asking is that is this integration possible?

It is possible

To integrate firefox and kget, you should get DownloadWith

This makes that you get a menu where you can choose with what to download when right-clicking a link.

For configuring KGet for this go to Tools->Options after installing the downloadWith xpi.

Then choose extensions and DownloadWith Options.
My KGet configuration

Identification: kget
Label: KGet
Command: /usr/bin/kget
Arguments: "[URL]" ( without these " ")

This should be entered when pressing create new application.

Some more discussion related to DownloadWith can be found here

Use Plugger

You can also you plugger ( ) to handle specific MIME types with KGET... For example to have kget handle ZIP files, just add

application/zip:zip:Zip Binary Package
swallow(KGet) fill: kget "$url"

to your pluggerrc file. However, there's one sideeffect... because kget usually runs all the time, plugger can't swallow the main window... it will instead swallow the KGet "Save as" dialog and display it as if it was the ZIP file. That'S fine with me, but I guess I should warn you
